Based in the North East of England Michelle Milburn paints terraced street life from a nostalgic era now long past, bright garden florals and intensely coloured architectural canvases.

Michelle Milburn works from her remote studio in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside exploring the world around her, past and present, using many sources as inspiration for her diverse work.

A self taught artist, Michelle works using the highest quality materials including handmade soft pastels, intense in pigment, and luxurious Italian Ingres paper, the long standing qualities of the materials being imperative to the process. Michelle has painted all her life, lucky enough to have amazingly talented and encouraging teachers throughout her school life, there has never been a time when she did not paint or draw.
